Emulation & Virtual Commissioning
Test before go-live. Move forward with confidence.
Your commissioning window is too valuable to spend discovering issues that could have been identified earlier.
Fidus Global uses Emulate3D to validate controls code and test system interactions before our team arrives on-site. By connecting a virtual model of your equipment to project controls and software, we can identify issues, verify communications, and refine system behavior before startup.
That preparation reduces on-site troubleshooting, shortens commissioning, and makes better use of planned downtime.

Built into our project process
Thorough testing is part of how Fidus Global prepares your project for success. We incorporate emulation into our controls development process, giving your system the benefit of integrated testing before live production depends on it.
For legacy system modernization, expansions, and controls upgrades, this means arriving on-site with more of the validation already completed—and fewer issues left to resolve during your cutover.
How Emulation works
We build a virtual model that represents the equipment and operating conditions relevant to your project. This means conveyors and sorters to sensors, motors, and product movement.
Using Emulate3D, that model exchanges signals with the programmable logic controller (PLC), much as physical equipment would on-site. We connect the controls to the supervisory monitoring system (SCADA) and warehouse control software (WCS), allowing us to test how they work together.
This is more than a 3D visualization. It is an integrated test environment that exercises the controls logic and software communications your operation will rely on.

Test everyday operations and interruptions
A system needs to do more than run under ideal conditions. It needs to respond correctly when equipment stops, a lane fills, or a fault interrupts product flow.
Identifying issues in a controlled environment gives our team time to address them before they affect your commissioning schedule.
Depending on project scope, our testing can include:
Startup & Shutdown
Verify operating sequences and equipment responses.
Fault Conditions
Test fault logic, alarms, and system status reporting.
Product Flow
Evaluate conveyor, merge, and sorter behavior.
Lane Availability
Confirm responses to full, disabled, or unavailable destinations.
System Communications
Validate messaging and status consistency across controls, SCADA, and warehouse control software.
What this means for your project
Less time troubleshooting on site
Resolving controls and software issues earlier reduces the work remaining during installation and startup.
Better use of planned downtime
Advance testing helps our team prepare for tightly scheduled cutovers, especially when upgrading equipment in an active facility.
Reduced startup risk
Testing operating scenarios and system interactions before go-live helps uncover problems while there is still time to correct them.
A stronger foundation for reliable operation
Validated operating sequences and communications help support consistent system performance and throughput.
Preparation that makes a difference
Successful commissioning starts long before equipment goes live. Fidus Global brings controls, software, and virtual equipment together early to help make project delivery more predictable.
Plan your next project with greater confidence
Emulation complements on-site commissioning and final validation, giving our team a stronger starting point when your equipment is ready and giving you greater confidence in the transition.
